New Years Resolutions

It's so funny to be how many people make New Years Resolutions. What do you want to resolve in the New Year that you couldn't do in the previous year? For many Americans the resolution they made to themselves comes distinct by the end of January!

So if you are making a New Years resolution don't bite off more than you can chew. Aim for small achievable goals instead. Maybe your one of the millions who want vow to loose weight, eat better and exercise for the New Years resolution. Instead, make a small goal of exercising for 30 minutes a day three or four times a week. From their you can learn to eat better and you'll be shedding pounds in no time!

So, what goals will you be setting for the New Year?

Breastfeeding In Public...A Penny For Your Thoughts!

Have you heard about all the controversy surrounding several incidents in the past month toward Mothers nursing their babies in courthouses around the country? You can read about the MI woman here and the DC Mother here.

First off, I'm a nursing Mother! I take pride in the fact that I am able to produce a ever flowing production of milk that my baby eats to grow on a daily basis! It simply amazes me that I am the reason that she is gaining weight every. single. day!

Now, I am not that Momma that whips out the goods in public. I am very discrete and often times you'll find me just feeding her a bottle because I'm too shy to nurse in public. However, there have been times that I just simply needed to nurse to calm the crabby patty down {like in Longhorn!}. Granted I was on the "inside" of the booth and also put a blanket over us. I don't think anyone noticed and it got her to calm down.

In my state of Ohio, if I am discriminated against because I am breastfeeding it's considered sexual discrimination. I love Virginia's law that a breastfeeding Mother is protected when breastfeeding on state owned property!

Listen here America, breastfeeding Mothers are saving YOU money! By us breastfeeding our infants it saves the government money by not being on WIC to purchase formula. It's silly to me that society doesn't support Mothers who are nursing their children, but, yet when we offer formula they ask why we aren't breastfeeding.

So what is it? Would you rather a Mother nurse her children or feed the cuteness formula?

It's Merry Christmas Not Happy Holidays

Has anyone else noticed that over the past several years the entire world has slowly turned Merry Christmas into Happy Holidays? It's been a slow change that has me furious!

I understand companies wanna make everyone happy, but damn man, it's not possible! When you learn you can't make everyone happy you can focus on making those you can even happier...do you hear that social media - YOU CAN'T MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY FOCUS ON MAKING THOSE YOU CAN EVEN HAPPIER!

It's Christmas that we celebrate the birth of Christ. Christianity has played a HUGE role in the way that the United States has been developed and ran for thousands of years.

So the next time you are going to wish a known believer of Christ a Happy Holiday, without hesitation wish them a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Now if you are a wishing someone a Happy Holiday that you are unfamiliar with (say a stranger who just took your cart from you because they see your hands are full with getting the rugrats in the car) then I would say that's appropriate!

So to all of you I say - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Why Don't You Use a Freakin' Turn Signal

See that thing stickin' out on the left side of the steering wheel? Yeah, that thing! It's called a turn signal when you push up you signal right, when you push down you signal left! Then it's really cool, when you make the turn it turns off automatically! Since yesterday I was bitchin' about old farts driving, I thought I'd share my frustrations with drivers NOT.USING.THEIR.TURN.SIGNALS. Listen people these little light bulbs that blink were put onto cars for a reason...to give other drivers warnings of when you are turning and to give them a heads up they'll need to slow down if behind you. When you suddenly turn going at 35 mph I'm not expecting you to do that and this may cause for your dumb ass to get rear ended. Then I'll be to blame because I was "following to closely". In addition to turn signals, I totally think grocery carts need turn signals. When I go to Kroger with the two girls I gotta make wide turns! Yes, I'm the Mom who has the infant up front in her car seat and the 4 year old in the car cart...gotta problem with it? Please tell me that I'm not the only human being on this Earth that uses their turn signals....So will YOU please use your turn signals so that I don't go home at night wanting to hit the KY Bourbon? THANKS ;)

Senior Citizens Drivers Test

I'm soooo tired of being behind a senior citizen who is going 25 MPH down Beechmont Ave. This is a 4 lane busy State Route in Cincinnati and it seems during the Christmas season these folks are out in FULL force.

With the states seeking out as much money from us as they can, they could totally get a few million dollars by having these elderly folks (65 and older!) take a drivers test just like a 16 year old teenager {who knows everything!} has to do.

What do you say? Yay or nay?!?

Welcome!

Aight people...this website is going to be dedicated to daily ramblings, collecting your thoughts and opinions and better yet...agreeing to disagree!

After having a money saving website for nearly 3 years I decided to shut it down when I was 7 months pregnant. The time I devoted to that site was exhausting and want to have loads of fun and vent my frustrations to the world, share my recipes and educate America {so go on and tell your friends!). If this site does well over the next 6 months I'll move to my own domain and go from there.

I hope you'll join me and get in on the discussions because I truly want to hear from you!
